This
Franceworld service was created in 1992 by FRANCEWORLD Association. The aim of the service is
to put French pupils and students in touch with their foreign age-mates having
various tastes in common.
It
also allows all cyber people of the whole world to get in touch with foreigners
in order to develop cultural and linguistic
affinities.
A 15000
card-index database, coming from 90 different nationalities, is at disposal on
the www.franceworld.com
website
The
card-index data can be filled free of charge on the
website.
In
order for this service to keep going, pen pal addresses will be paid for. If you
buy 5 addresses at once the cost will be 2 euros/address (or 2 US dollars),
crediting your account of 10 euros minimum. Only one address costs 4 euros. The
quickest way of purchase is through international credit card (number and expiry
date) in a secured mode.
In
case you do not have a credit card, you can send 10 international answer coupons
(to be bought in all post offices in the world) to be able to receive 5 pen
friend addresses.
In
France, you can also send a 10 euros cheque to begin your membership and receive
5 pen friend addresses.
In
Europe and in Canada, the Allopass system allows to obtain on internet pen pal
addresses without using a credit card and without membership. You just have to
choose “Find a pen pal” and follow the instructions. When buying the address,
the system proposes various means of paiement such as “I buy this address with
my telephone”. The address will cost between 1,5 and 2 euros.
Any
false address will be reimbursed on
demand.

Teachers of French can also collect their pupils
inscriptions thank to the attached Franceworld file form. (in French,
in English and in Spanish).
On
option “Class exchange” allows all language teachers worldwide to start a
correspondence between their students and the ones of another
country.
Like
this, thanks to the card-index data criterias, pupils and students worldwide can
communicate with one or several foreigners sharing identical values, write to
them to exchange ideas and may be meet them in their
country.
Pen
friend exchanges can be done through Internet or through post or
both.
